About Me

My name is Lara. I am a Wife and Mother on a daily basis, but I also like to brag about being a Voter, an Educator, a Volunteer, a Writer, a Crafter, a Home Cook, and a Lover of the Arts (among other things).

This is my loving husband Chris and our beautiful daughter Katelyn.

I am taking a long absence from the work force to stay home full-time to raise Katelyn. I can't say it was always a dream to be a stay-at-home mom, but so far I am loving the fact that I have been blessed with means to do so. I never imagined that something so incredible could be missing from my life, but apparently something was. I love being home and pretending I'm June Cleaver as I wash the dishes with bubbles to my elbows, and Katelyn laughing at me from her vibrating seat. Life is great.

This blog was started out of my own desire to have something of my own to share my mothering concerns as well as my craft projects, my food recipes, and my frugal spending habits. I'm just learning the "ins" of being a mom and hope to share the experience with you as well answer some questions you may have.
